Assignment 1

I like this photo because it shows a happy family that seems to care for one another. Family is very important to me. They are the first ones that will love you, protect you and teach you what you need to know in order to be a person that can function in society.

Assignment 1

When I was asked to look for photos I like I had a really hard time deciding, and as an avid Pinterest user I have a lot of photos saved. When I look at this it makes me think of weightlessness, airy, and its almost ethereal. Its just a photo that amazes me and is captivating to look at. With my major I do a lot of dancing, and it is also something that I really appreciate.

I like...

This photo is just a very down to earth photo, no excessive editing, just a simple man doing something he seems to love. I also collect records and would love to hang a wall of records.

Assignment 1

I like this photo of Glacier National Park because it serves as a reminder of the incredible magnitude and beauty of nature. Its range of colors and hues is impressive, and the contours really guide the eye to different points of interest.

Assignment 1

I chose this image because I love, love, love gargoyles and older sculptures/architecture.  Gargoyles--I'm guessing this one is on Notre Dame--were meant to keep evil demons/spirits out of the church.  I love this image because it's almost like we get to see the world from the gargoyles' perspective as he overlooks the city in which he trying to protect.

Assignment 1

I chose this photo from Rise Patatgonia magazine. I was struck by the enormity of the shot. Having recently visited this location I truly appreciate the timing, lighting and angle of the shot. Obviously a fantastic location for a photo, but this photographer chose a truly unique angle and captured the sunrise perfectly.

Assignment #1

I chose this photo by Andy Porter because I have a passion for landscape and nature photography.  The colors and exposure in this photograph are phenomenal! The angle gives a unique point of view of the field that wouldn’t be seen if you were to take the same photo from eye level.  Photos that are taken at unordinary angles always catch my eye.  Something about seeing the world from a different point of view grabs my attention.
