The Final Routine

For the final project I decided to follow the last days of the final exams of a dear friend. It was her first semester in Graduate school, and she had never worked more harder and longer on her studies before. The pictures follow the last two days of her preparation for the exams. All the indoor photographs are in black and white to portray the tense mood while the final outdoor photograph is in color to signify a release and the end of all the anticipation.

Final Project

The more my fiance and I experience life, the more we realize how thankful we are for the simple things. We try and go into each day with a thankful heart, making the best of each situation, and hoping for the best. In these photos I asked my fiance what are the top five things he is thankful for, these were his response.

Number one: Jesus.

Number two: me.

Number three: a home.

Number four: a job.

Number five: our family at Unseen Ministries.

Assignment 9

Assignment 9 Photo Hunt

Abstract: a frosted over gopher hill

Balance: symetrical tire tracks

Broken: cat crawling through a broken barn window

Funny: This sign is where there used to be an old bar but the building was torn down. So literally there is "no place" at this sign. I've always thought it was funny that the sign is all that remains.

Old: my husband's grandfather's old Chevy

Perspective: a close up of an old sign for the Herzog dam in North Dakota

Powerful: a cliche sunrise but powerful none the less

Red: an old red farm barn

 Texture: dried grasses

Tranquil: a quiet walking path through the woods
